At Sutton Baptist Church our goal is to reach our community and world for Jesus Christ. This is done by serving and loving the world. We accomplish this through many different avenues but with the same mission!

Jesus puts it best in Matthew 25:35-40, “For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”

Food Pantry Ministry

Our food pantry ministry is a way that we offer a helping hand out to those that are hungry. It is our hope and prayer that this ministry can help people get on their feet and connect them to the person of Jesus.

Backpack Ministry

This is a ministry that packs backpacks during our Wednesday night service during the school year. We provide food and snacks for children in need to take home during the weekends during the school year.

Fall Festival

Our fall festival is a time that children in the community can come to the church during the fall season. During our festival we have games, crafts, food, a time for a gospel presentation, and trunk or treat.

Block Party

The Block Party is one of our largest outreach events. This event is an old fashioned carnival style block party where our community can come together to have fun. Children have the oporuntiy to win prizes and school items. We provide free hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn, funnel cakes, and more! You won’t want to miss the pastor in the dunking booth!

Tax Services

Filing one’s taxes can be very diffcult. This is why our church started a minsitry that we could help people file their taxes.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is an opportunity for our church to pack shoeboxes full of gifts for children overseas. We have a shoebox packing party in November in which eat some delicious food and pack boxes.

Food Bank Ministry

Each Tuesday a group of our church gathers at Mountaineer Food Bank to pack boxes. This is such an amazing opportunity to help people in need, help the food bank through our volunteering, and show people the love that is found only in Jesus. Our youth and teens also volunteer once a month at the Food Bank.

Concession Stand Ministry

One of the unique ways that we volunteer is by working concessions stands for various sports teams. This is an opportunity to give parents a break so they can go watch their kids play.
